I have the IPT 6th gen and I have been on IOS 9 for forever and have kept it with worries that the new IOS would be buggy, in particular would be slow on the IPT6 and would drain battery life.

Now that IOS10 has been out for a while, can anyone attest to these issues and whether it would be worth it for me to upgrade? What benefits have you seen (other than getting rid of the damn nightly nag screen) with IOS 10?

Thanks guys!

It is supported. but I wasn't sure if would notice a performance decrease. I know with the IPT5, one f the IOS updates drained the battery and also made for sluggish performance.

Ok,but I think yours should work. I seen an old iPhone 5 work completely normal with latest iOS,and your iPod is not too old to work fine, but of course no one can guarantee it.

I had an iPod touch 6 gen and to me iOS 10 worked fine. Did not seem any different than iOS 9.

There are no issues with the iPod 6G. I've been running various versions of 10.x ever since it came out. Just today updated to 10.3.2 and it works fine. LOTS of improvements since 9.x !!

I'm running IOS 10 on my iPod Touch 6 with no issues.

I keep one of my devices - iPhone 5C, on iOS 9, but it's more because the person using it is used to 9.
