Hi guys, I'm currently jailbroken on 10.2 but may need to upgrade to the latest iOS 11 FW for a while. Would it be possible to then downgrade to 10.2 and re-jailbreak?

In order to downgrade you first need to be jailbroken on the firmware you're currently on. Then someone needs to develop a tool or method to allow a downgrade from your firmware.

You may (or may not) have noticed that iOS 11 has no jailbreak at the moment…

I'm currently jail broken on 10.2. Are there any tools out there to downgrade? If not, I may soon be kissing my JB goodbye

I guess I should be more clear.

You can upgrade to iOS 11, but you cannot return until there is an iOS 11 jailbreak and a downgrade tool.

There may be an iOS 11 jailbreak, there may not. But if there is and there is no downgrade tool then you are still stuck.

You can't do anything when stock and going to iOS 11 will mean you're stock.

As far as anything to downgrade right now at 10.2, I don't have a clue.

If you are set on going to iOS11, then I suggest you download 11.1.2 and upgrade to that one while apple is still signing it. Stay away from 11.2 because any potential iOS 11 jb will be for 11.1.2 and earlier.....

Thanks mate. I'm on iPhone 6 not 6S. If this iOS 11 JB does happen, will the ip6 be supported?

And how do I update to 11.1.2?

Just connect to iTunes try to update to iOS 11.1.2 but come up 11.2 instead
Yes. This is why I told you to use one of the modifier keys to click on upgrade.

Mac - use OPTN. PC - use SHIFT (I said CTRL in the other thread, but it's SHIFT). Point iTunes to the IPSW you download of 11.1.2.

Please explain in more detail. At what point do you click on Optn on mac? And that will lead you to 11.1.2?

The process applies to any IPSW that is still being signed, but is not the current IPSW.

Download the IPSW.
Connect your phone and open iTunes.
In iTunes, hold down the OPTN key on Mac (SHIFT on PC).
Click on the Update/Upgrade button.
A popup window will open allowing you to select the IPSW you just downloaded.
Find the IPSW through the folder naviigation and select it, then click OK, or Update/Upgrade or whatever the big button says.
iTunes starts installing THAT IPSW and not the current one.

Now where can I find the correct ipsw please? I'm in the UK.
