hi, i have an iphone 4 16 gb ios 4.00 and baseband 1.59.00. i want to upgrade it to ios 4.1 but want to keep baseband 1.59.00. and i do not have mac. what program and step should i follow. something in my mind like this(what i did with my 3gs),

1. download the ios 4.1 for iphone 4
2. cook it with snowbridge or something i do not remember
3. start tinyumbrella
4. enter iphone into dfu mode
5. restore ios by intune 10 while pressing shift

please tell me if i am wrong or what should i do. thanks in advance.

Whatever you do don't use SnowBreeze.

To get to 4.1 you'll need to have the SHSH saved. Also, a custom firmware.

1.59 bb

I'm on 4.2.1 with the 1.59 baseband. I'm not sure if you just don't want to go to 4.2.1 or not. I just used TinyUmbrella and Greenpoison. 4.2.1 jailbreak works good no problems here. Also if you use PkgBackup it will even save all your jailbreak settings and folders. Easiest jailbreak and setup I have ever done. Well not easiest jailbreak, jailbreakme.com was easiest but the setup after was done with a sync and PkgBackup.

Yep, use TU and itunes to update or restore to 4.2.1, it will keep ur bb at 1.59 and u can unlock it on 4.2.1
