Upgrade to Leopard/SL from Tiger?

Hi all,

Running an early 2007 2.0 C2D macbook, 2GB RAM. 80GB HD.

Any point in upgrading from Tiger? Will my system run better or worse?
My main issue is an inability to run Chrome.

If it matters, I will likely upgrade to a new 13" MBP on the next refresh.
