I have an old Macbook Pro (Mid-2007 - 3,1) with a recently upgraded hard drive (500GB) and 4GB of Ram. I'm currently running Snow Leopard. Since I'm right on the brink of being unsupported by 10.8, I'm reluctant to upgrade... More importantly, I am getting an iPhone 5 tomorrow. Since this is my first iPhone and I'm new to all of the iCloud/sync features, I'm wondering if I am going to be losing out on many features by not upgrading to Mountain Lion. Does anybody here have any insight or advice.

Sorry if this is the wrong Forum, but since I'm really only concerned about iPhone 5 functionality/sync with my laptop, I thought this would be the best place for a good answer.
