My FaceTime has been great recently and the wife uses it quite a lot on my 2011 mbp :)

The neighbours recently emigrated to New Zealand and we often use FaceTime to their Ipad, it's far better then Skype is this cuts out too much - everyone's on it and the quality of FaceTime is fair better!

Even their parents gave up Skypeing them and went out and bough an Ipad just to talk to them :D

i rarely use it, and video chatting just isnt there yet

In what way? Do you mean picture quality because it isn't bad at a free consumer level yet. Both Skype and Facetime offer really good quality video and audio over slower internet and even 3G (in the case of Skype). I have had video calls with my kids over Facetime where they are on a 1.5 Mbps connection for hours with no issue. I have Skyped with them on my iPhone over 3G also with no issue.

FaceTime is definitely not useless to a lot of people (like myself!)

But OP, sorry. Even if it was somehow possible, it'd be insanely complicated.
