Ok so I have a 13.3 inch mac book and it is currently running os x leopard I know I have to pay the 30 for the upgrade but was wondering if it was better to install the new OS my self or to let bestbuy do it or some one else like that

any help would be great :apple:

Yea I probably will do it myself I am a college student so anything I can do to save money will help me out a lot

Yeah, don't go to Best Buy. It's a ripoff. I did 2 upgrades and 1 clean install of Snow Leopard from Leopard and the only issue I had was with Photoshop, which a quick google search resolved that. I'm sure you or a friend can do it easily. The best advice is exactly what Primejimbo said, back everything up if you can.

Just do it yourself because its easy to upgrade. I just made sure not to erase everything because i didnt want a fresh clean installation, you will still gain harddrive space even if you dont.:)

Install it yourself, it's very easy. Usually installation takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
