Hi all,

I have an early 2015 MBP Pro (i5, 8gb ram). It runs good for my usage, but I was wondering how long it will be upgradeable to the newest OS's as they're released?

Thanks much!

If current trends continue - 3 more years after Big Sur. Big Sur marks the demise of the 2012 getting the latest OS version, with 2(?) years of security patches following. Next year would see 2013 go the same route, etc., etc. However - Apple's desire to remove Intel from support might accelerate that timeline.

If your MBP is still running fine, I would wait until the silicon MBP's come out and get one of those.

Unless you have apps or using bootcamp that requires intel chips.
