1. I have mixed feelings about FaceID. Easier in some regards, but I hate that I can't just unlock and glance at my phone on my desk without picking it up. TouchID was so much more convenient for this. Hopefully sometime we get TouchID back.

2. I didn't realize that the non-Pro didn't have any kind of optical zoom camera. The 7 Plus had 2x zoom in. This one only zooms out. I can't think of any reason why I would want to zoom out and not in, so I've got a second camera that I'll pretty much never use which sucks. I guess I have to get a Pro model the next time I upgrade. 1x Photos are super nice though and definitely nicer than the 7 Plus.

3. No charger included, and I have no devices with USB-C ports so I can't even use the included cable. I'm stuck with slow charging at the moment.

4. The notch really kind of disappears once you start using the phone. It's not like it's not noticeable, but when you're using the device, you just don't pay any attention to it. It's bizarre that there are UI inconsistencies still though. Things like when on the home screen the wifi signal strength is on the right, but when you swipe down, it moves over to the left. Same thing with the location indicator moving from left to right. You'd think after so many years with the notch Apple could figure out the UI.

5. OLED screen looks super yellow compared to 7 Plus and iMac which both look great. Both True Tone and NightShift are off, it's just the way the screens are now. Went back to the store to talk to an employee about it. Side by side, the 14 screen has a yellow tint and it's super annoying. Fortunately I was able to at least partly correct it by changing the tint in accessibility settings.

5. Older iPhones and most Macs always had displays with very cool color temperature (usually 7000-7500K), whereas Apple is calibrating newer iPhones to 6500K color temperature, which is going to look more yellow side by side with a cool display. You will most likely get used to it and stop noticing it.

The ultra-wide lens does create interesting looking POV shots. Try shooting something at regular distance with the normal lens, and then with the ultra-wide. It's a mild warping effect. I like it in some situations, feels creative.

Regarding 5: Have the same issue with my 13 mini after upgrading from the 6. What did you tweak in Accessibility to reduce the yellow?

I felt the same way when I first switched from an LCD to OLED iPhone. As soon as I stopped comparing them side by side I stopped caring though...
