Hi there

So I just finished upgrading the internal RAM on my new and already dear iMac G4 (I was really careful!), but to my horror the screen didn't turn on when I started it afterwards. The startup sound is there, and the fan spins up, but nothing happens on the screen. I've tried to insert the old RAM again, but that didn't help.

I'm almost sure that I've somehow messed up the logic board. But if it isn't that: Then what could it be? And how could it be solved?

If nothing can be done I guess I will be modding this.. But it really is a shame.

Best regards

Mathias

Double check that you reattached the video cable to the logicboard. Be careful, the connector is very fragile. Also, don't forget to reapply the thermal grease when closing it.
