upgraded my OS. now unable to reinstall logic 9

Hi all,

I'll try and keep this issue as clear as possible, hear goes

I have a 2008 macbook and recently installed logic pro 9 (the latest version compatible with the laptop), I then bought a apogee jam to record guitar.

garageband and the core audio is receiving the audio interface signal but logic doesn't

so i upgraded the OS to 10.7.5 to ensure i have the minimum spec for the interface

logic still doesn't pick it up, i spoke to all the help centres and the only useful idea i got is to reinstall logic 9 again now that i have upgraded the OS to 10.7

problem is now i try and reinstall and the mac telling me that it can read the damn disk because it doesn't support powerpc applications!

please help any advice would be great

but i THINK you need the last version of logic 9, your disk may be too old...
