I run VMWare Fusion and Windows 10 on my 2013 iMac 27". After I finally broke down and upgraded the iMac to Catalina, Windows 10 does not connect to any USB drive. I use one for backing up Quicken Home & Business files, a program we've used for our small business for years. The drive appears properly in Fusion.

I've scoured endless links to this and all lead to a dead end. I've determined it relates to the Catalina upgrade, not Fusion or Windows 10.

Here's the symptoms:

- The drives (LaCie D2 Quadra and a new LaCie SSD) worked perfectly under Fusion and Win 10 before the upgrade to Catalina. They work perfectly on macOS.
- Fusion 12 sees the USB drive and tries to connect it to Win 10
- In Win 10 the drive appears in Devices & Printers and Device Manager
- The drive does not appear in Drive Management or File Explorer, thus it's not functionally connected to Win 10.
- There are no error indicators in Win 10 Device Manager.

Mysteriously, I've gotten the drive to connect to Drive Management & File Explorer twice in two months. They worked and I was able to do backups. But, when I tried to connect them again Win 10 returned to the same issues. Can anyone help or direct me to a solution? Thanks!
