Upgraded to itunes, not songs can't their path

I upgraded to Itunes 8.2 last night....or itunes plus....I'm not sure. I store my library on an external harddrive. Now my songs can't find their path. I have tried recopying the library from my laptop (pc) to the hard drive and consolidating the library, but this doesn't work. I can always locate the path for each song individually but this will take forever.

I hope someone is able to help.

Have you tried 'Add a folder' and just pointing to the entire library? That happen to me a couple of years ago, and was fixed with this little trick.

I don't remember if it duplicates the library, but if it does you can just press "Show Duplicates" and then sort the library by 'Date Added' and then delete all the ones that weren't added on the current date.
