iPod touch upgraded to OS 4.0, now cant read email

I upgraded to OS 4.0 on my ipod touch and now I cannot read my email. It shows me that I have new mail, but I cannot read the content when I click on it (I have it synched with my gmail).

I have also seen some weird "new" emails from the 1960's, but its blank. Not sure what I should do. I did some searching to see if anyone else had this problem...would appreciate the help.

Try restoring it as a new device.
