The first computer to be upgraded was 2020 13" MacBook Pro 2.3 Ghz / 16 Gb / 1 TB. Decided to upgrade instead of performing a clean install. Made 2 bootable backups using SuperDuper!.
The upgrade was surprisingly uneventful. No issues.
Prior to the upgrade:
- Apple Family Sharing was enabled
- Dropbox Family plan was enabled as an upgrade; quite a few folders were relocated to Family Room
Both Dell U2720QM 27" 4K monitors - connected via USB C (Thunderbolt) cables to left and right ports - were recognized immediately with no loss in resolution.
Applications with zero issues: Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Chrome, Viber, Telegram, Pixelmator Pro, Cocktail (new version downloaded), Figma, VMware Fusion Pro 13 with Windows 11 VM, Intego security suite, Amphetamine.
Applications with issues: so far only Zoom. When Stage Manager is enabled, buttons available in the Zoom meeting window cannot be pressed - completely non responsive. Cannot turn on / off camera for example. The Zoom menu bar is also non responsive. Could not Force Quit Zoom and had to shutdown and then restart. Turned off Stage Manager and now Zoom works as expected. Searched for any known Zoom + Ventura issues. No meaningful reports.
