Upgrades & Buying Through AT&T vs Apple Store

I have a 16GB 5S on order through AT&T and the ship date is 10/1 - 10/10.
I went to the Apple site and I can order through there and pick up in store now.
My questions are..............
If I buy online through Apple, is my AT&T upgrade automatically applied?
Can I cancel my AT&T online order?

It is automatically applied but I don't know how it will work with your AT&T order. You probably have to cancel first and Maybe even wait a little while the system updates your eligibility. I would just call att and ask if I cancel my order, how soon can I go back online and order through apple.
