I have a pair of L5335s which are the low power version (50W vs. 80W TDP) of the E5335. I'd like to use these in my Mac Pro. I don't recall if they run at a different voltage than standard Xeons -- I'd assume so. Would the 2006 Mac Pro handle it? (anyone tried?)

My only concern would be the difference in voltage. According to the information I can find it's between .2 and .5v less power depending on the specific model. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

My E5345's are 1.213V and 1.3V :)

Mac Pro motherboard automatically sets correct voltage.
