Hey ya, I've had my MBP since 2013 and thought it was time to upgrade. I currently have my eye on the MBP13 that's $1799. Is it worth the upgrade over my current one? My current laptop isn't lagging or anything but I felt after 6 years, may be time for a new one?

I, too, have a 2013 MBP. It has 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM. It cost $1500 six years ago and still runs great today.

The $1800 13" MBP now on sale has... 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM. Now, obviously those components are a lot faster than the six-year-old versions in mine, but it actually costs $300 more to get the same storage and RAM as six years ago. That's... not how this is supposed to work.

Mine also has a better keyboard, MagSafe, and ports I use every day.

If my current MBP were to die tomorrow, I'm not sure what I'd do because I love macOS, but to my mind, the value is not there - at all - on Apple's current lineup of laptops.

Same opinion here.

I’ve been maximizing on my current 2013, upgraded the storage (to 2TB) and added an eGPU to make video editing manageable to make it to 2020.
