Hello there,

I think I am losing my mind. I've upgraded the ram, everything is slotted in smoothly, etc etc, but I cannot for the life of me get the ram compartment door to fit in flush with the case. I just cannot get the thing in there. I've watched near a dozen videos now but none address this issue directly.

Do any of you have any tips or clues for wth I need to do? Thanks v much

To elaborate and to clarify further, at best I can get a corner in, but mostly it won't go in at all. I just cannot get this thing in.

After over half an hour of trying, finally achieved it. Going to leave this up in case someone searches for the same issue in the future.

What I did was kept increasing force, and if only one side went it I would remove it and try again and again, and I think eventually the door's resistance weakened just enough that I was finally allowed to slam the thing in. God knows why Apple has to make this sort of thing so complicated. I don't think encouraging that amount of force onto an iMac that they tell you to lay face down on a towel is a good idea.
