If you update, all of your jailbroken and cracked apps will disappear.

There is no jailbreak yet for 4.1.

It does exist, but needs to be tested. That shouldn't take long.

When you update, whether now or later, write down any repositories and apps that you will want to load again.

After updating, manually add back in everything from your list.

For help with installous, go to forums where such discusssions are allowed. Talk about that isn't allowed at MacRumors.

As for the rest of it, check http://blog.iphone-dev.org/. When the jailbreak for 4.1 is released, it'll be announced there. Once the JB is released, read and follow the posted instructions carefully. But basically, you'll be updating to the new OS, then rejailbreak, then reinstalling all your jailbroken apps. There are apps that help with this process. If you are currently jailbroken, search in Cydia for "backup," and you'll find a bunch of options.

Yeah I know all that. Appreciate the response as well though.

Guess I should have just asked my main questions, what happens with the apps on the iTunes.

If you are asking about what happens to the cracked apps, then I can't answer that question, as discussion about cracked apps isn't allowed on MacRumors. Find another forum where talk about that is allowed, before you get reported to the mods.

Testy testy.

Fair enough. Rules are rules I suppose. I'll look it up.

Appreciate the responses though.

They just stay there in iTunes w/ no home, 'stranded on death row' (Dr. Dre!)...
If you really like those app you should BUY them from the app store and use them right now!
