Upgrading a MBP Late 07 model

I am in the process of upgrading my laptop and was wondering what HDD would people recommend installing?

I have been looking at Seagate, Western Digital and Samsung and was interest which 500GB drive people either knows work or would recommend for quality.

If you've got the cash, go SSD. Since your laptop is now 2 years old, the boost from a good SSD will make up for it! If thats not an option, go for a 7200 Scorpio Blue

I think you mean Scorpio Black

I've put the 320 GB Black into mine and it seems quite happy in there.

Have also upped the ram to 4GB, no excuse not to, its cheap as dirt

Lastly I replaced the keyboard/trackpad with an early 08 one and got myself some multi touch lovin'

All working nicely and this still my primary machine, maybe when SSD's get bigger and cheaper I'll move to one as my last upgrade!

You're right, the Scorpio Black is 7200 RPM, The Blue is 5400, but has higher capacity. Good catch
