Upgrading a PC, how to migrate the iPhone?

I am upgrading my wife's PC. The new one is ready to go with the exception of migrating everything iPhone from the old to the new. What do I need to do to make sure that when she hooks the phone to the new computer, that it does not miss a beat?

You can sync things from the pc to the iphone and when you upgrade the pc sync them back.
