The OS doesn't give a damn about what sort of RAM you use it just expects it to work. There is no such thing as RAM compatibility with Windows.

I would consider that RAM expensive that you picked. You can get ddr3 1600 cl 10 for that.
Though unless you use an onboard GPU like the HD 4000 1600Mhz RAM isn't really worth it.
