upgrading DVD/CD-RW to superdrive

So i look at a tons of sites and saw that you can but a driver and install it yourself. Although all the directions are there it looks hard and i dont want to f up my power book. I have a G4 17 inch and wanted to send it inthere was a site but they want 225. Does any one know anythign better? Thanks
