Upgrading Early 2009 Video to ATI 4850... Firmware?

I'm about to upgrade my iMac to the 4850 from known working one I have obtained from eBay. I know they had a firmware issue that was fixed by Apple (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/696030/). I figure its probably already applied, but just in case anyone know if I will have a problem applying this update?
