Upgrading from 2.1 to 3.0...help?!

Ok just so I dont completely f up everything can someone give me a quick 1.2.3 on how to do it? idk if i have to update to 2.2.1 first THEN 3.0 or what..:confused:

(it's jailbroken and unlocked but on ATT)
