I have an 11in C2D 1.4ghz 2gb of ram mba. Its clear that this machine is not running as fast as the newer ones. I am thinking about upgrading to a base level 2012 13in to speed things up a little bit. I received a very generous gift card to the Apple store over the holidays, so it would off set most of the costs. Looking at the benchmarks it seems like would see a pretty big jump in performance even with the base i5.

Just wanted to get some thoughts from the community.

Thanks.

I think that would be awesome. I am enjoying my base Macbook Air, and it is speedy and powerful! Not to mention, a great form factor

I made the plunge a couple of hours ago I got a base level 13in from my local apple store. All I can say is whoa... it really is way faster then my 11in was at even the most simple things. I am so happy I decided to upgrade I didn't think the jump from C2D to Ivy Bridge would be this big of deal. I certainly recommend the upgrade.
