Opinions needed, would upgrading from a rock solid strong! PowerMac G4 1.42DP machine with 2GB of ram to a Mac Mini 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo be worth it. My G4 DP is rock solid and stable with all the apps I use. I have never had a more stable machine and its still all bone stock aside from the memory upgrade. Of course with the Mini I can never change the video cards etc.

Thanks

CPU-wise the mini will be faster but why bother if the G4 is rock solid. Are you running into bottlenecks? Does the G4 now feel slow to you? mini updates may be on the way in a few weeks so if you can hold on, it might be worth it.

I am just starting to use Adobe Illustrator and I am getting a message saying not enough memory when doing 3D work etc..
