I am moving from an iPhone 3G (16GB), which was absolutely miserable to use since iOS 4 came out back in June/July 2010.

I had a lot of doubts about getting the iPhone 4S, and almost pulled the trigger on the Sony Xperia Play 4G.

I got the 16GB iPhone 4S, which I preordered Friday morning. I am wondering if that was a mistake. I'm wondering if 16GB is going to be too little space to work with now that it has a 1080p camera in it.

Ideas? Of just post-purchase jitters?

Unless you shoot a lot of video, you'll be fine.

Remember, you have iCloud now, photos you take get sent to the cloud and don't count toward your 5GB storage. Worst case scenario is that you have to purge some photos on occasion, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Does Image Capture still work with the new iPhones?

I'm guessing 4hrs of 1080p video on a 16gb. Can't you just transfer it to your comp? Do you have to keep it on your phone?

Do you folks think that if I preordered from AT&T, and find that 16GB is not enough (Which is likely, because I was using 15.2 GB on my 3G), would they allow me to return within the 30 day period and get the 32GB?

I cleaned the phone up today, removing everything I absolutely did not want on it, and I am using 10.4 GB now.

Don't even open the box and take it back. You are not going to be happy with the 16 if right now you have 10gb. That leaves you less then 4gb. I found myself using the phone more and more each new phone I got 3g, 3gs 4, and now I have a 4s 64 on order. I was maxing out the ip4 32gb so now I have some room to breath for a few generations. I hope.

I also had a 16gb 3G and opted to go for 32gb this time around, since I was filling up about 10-12gb on my phone as well. Most of that is music, though - if it's like that for you as well, and you have an unlimited data plan, maybe you could stream from iCloud or Spotify or something like that?
