So I have been googling for awhile, and I haven't been able to find a solution to my problem.

I currently use a jailbroken iPhone 3GS running on version 4.3.3 and modem firmware 06.15.00. I did not download any jailbroken apps - it was jailbroken just so I could unlock it to use with T-Mobile, and I didn't update it as a result. I'm planning on moving to a new iPhone 4S not jailbroken.

I want to be able to keep my contacts, notes, calendar, etc., so I backed up my 3GS.

My problem is, if I plug in my 4S and restore from backup, will the iOS, modem firmware, and jailbroken status carry over? Will I still be able to update the iOS to 6x? Would I just be better off setting up as a new phone and manually transferring all of my data?

Thanks in advance! :)
