Been the last few years I’ve been using a late 2013 15 inch MBP. At the time I did max out the stats (max ram and max processor ) . After six years , I’m finally getting ready to upgrade (Longest I have had a computer In active use) I configured out a 2019 15 inch with graphics and processor maxed but left out on the ram upgrade and storage (let it at 16gb ram and 1tb storage) . Am I really shooting myself im the foot by not making out the ram ? I plan on using the computer as long as possible . I do some video editing in FCPX (1080 /60FPS footage) but I do extreme multi tasking of Chrome / Safari tabs and have blue stacks open in background . Also in terms of performance , how much of a leap am I going to see lol ? I had to keep a small buffer because I am having to get a few adapters and such for the sd cards and hdmi out .

Max Ram, you can always buy external SSDs to make up for space. You might not see a performance improvement right now, but you never know where the future will take you. Especially with video.

I would go 512GB/32GB of RAM, then buy external THunderbolt3 NVMe storage

Ty guys, I was able to manage to get the 32GB upgrade in there so its all pretty much maxed out, ty!
