Hi,

Is it by any means possible to use Migration Assistant to transfer applications of my own choosing (i.e. Photoshop, Aperture, etc.) onto my new computer using my Time Machine backup disk?

When I go into Migration Assistant, it says that I can transfer all of my applications--but it doesn't give me the choice to select which ones!!

What do I do?

Thanks!

You can download Photoshop and Aperture for free, MA doesn't give option to transfer individual apps, it's all or nothing

thanks for the quick response; i appreciate it! what about my whole iLife suite, though? I obviously don't want to migrate my '06 applications, when I have all the '09 ones on my new MBP!

I'm not sure but I think it won't replace them as they are newer. If it does, just reinstall them from the install disk #2 that came with your Mac
