: I plan to upgrade to the Iphone 4 when it is available in a few weeks. I will be using a different line on my family plan to upgrade, however, I want to use the phone for my line. What is the best way to go about doing this?
Kimberly M.: I'm not sure but I think that if you just upgraded on the other line and then switched the SIM cards it should work; but I cannot guarantee this.
: Well, usually that would be the case but the new iPhone 4 will use a micro-sim card, which is smaller than the normal sim. That's why I'm asking now. Would a simple call to AT&T be able to activate the sim to work with my phone or what?
Kimberly M.: Yes, I would assume so. After all they are all AT&T compatible devices so I think that should work fine.
: Okay, when I do upgrade online would service be interrupted for the line that I chose to use the upgrade from?
Kimberly M.: I don't believe so. I think once you receive the phone you would activate it online.
: Okay, I will probably call and try to order over the phone and explain my questions just in case, but thanks.
