Thought I'd post a warning/advisory.

If you are on 10.3.X you are SOL on migrating your data easily. The ethernet migration ap doesn't support panther. As a result there is no ay to move over minor stuff like your keychain. iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie will upgrade themselves easily, but the other stuff stored in your home folder is un-migratable. I went to the Apple store and the only solution was to leave it there for a few days, and they'll migrate for you. By migrating to a machine with Tiger, and then migrating from Tiger to Leopard over ethernet to the new macbook.

No word if the MBPs will suffer the same fate since they sill have firewire.

Good luck other old-schoolers trying to get something newer.
