I have a mid 2011 Mac Mini with 16 GB Ram and both SSD and HD. I want to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition. This can only be installed on systems running High Sierra. My Mac Mini is running Sierra. When I type High Sierra in spotlight the "Install High Sierra" icon is displayed in the taskbar. However, when I try to install it I get the message that this installation file is corrupted. I cannot download a new installation file from App Store because this file is already present in my computer. Kindly provide me a solution to install High Sierra.

Put the High Sierra installer on your Mac Mini into the trash. Empty the trash. Make sure you don't have any other copies on the internal drive and any externals you have connected (and turned on). Then try downloading it from the App Store again.

Thank you. It worked. Now I have High Sierra as my operating sytem.
