So I would like to upgrade from my first gen iPhone to an iPhone 4. I heard apparently you can keep your old unlimited plan going for lets say a iPhone g to an iPhone 4 but sense my iPhone only has edge and does not have g would I no longer be allowed to keep my unlimited data.

I actually had this confirmed for me today too, albeit by a rather grumpy "customer service" rep.
