Hello All-
I need to better my GoPro Hero 3+ Black audio. I'm just beginning to research what I think would be what I need.
I need compatibility between my iMac and GoPro, between the mic, recorder, Gopro and FCPX. My video's will mostly be outdoors, hiking/camping/canoeing/mtn climbing/skiing and so on, the majority will be solo on my part. Like "Survivor Man" stuff.
I'm looking to spend minimal but what I have to, to get a good functioning compatible system, the models and brands are not as important as finding out what can work, what is possible at this point.
I'm thinking, so far, on these lines. A Lav mic- which would be wireless to a recorder, something like a Zoom H4N? Possible? I believe a recorder can be synced to the video if the GoPro audio is recording correct?
Then, I need to record "voice overs" in post. Is it possible I can find a way to use the wireless recording system to also serve double duty as a USB mic for this purpose in some way or will I need to buy a separate USB mic (eg. Shure PG42 USB)?
Appreciate any & all comments, suggestions, recommendations,
TIA
