Upgrading Graphics Card: Will this GPU work on my Mac Pro (in OS X)?

I'm looking to upgrade from my stock 7300GT graphics card on my Mac Pro because I'd like to game at a resolution of 2560x1600. I've been looking for deals on an X1900, and found this at newegg:

Q1: It will work, right (in Mac OS X and XP?)

Q2: If I wanted to ONLY game in Windows via bootcamp, and had a budget of $400, is there some other card I would be better off going with?

Q3: Would there be any advantage to holding off a month or two?

Q1a. You need to flash the card to make it work with OS X.

Q1b. You need to buy the Apple Auxiliary Power Cable to make it work in the machine.

Q1c. Flashing the card is a risk, but will likely kill the non Apple-card features under both OS X, and Windows.

Q3. If you hold off, Apple may have a new card at the $400 price point.

you won't be playing relatively new games at 2560x1600 with a 1900xt. i recommend at least an 8800GTX for that high a resolution.
