I am purchasing a new 13" MBP and will upgrade the hard drive to 500gb before I begin using it. I plan on using SuperDuper to clone my old Macbook drive for use on my new MBP drive.

Will there a problem cloning between these two models? Do I need a different way to copy the drive from a regular Macbook to a pro? Any help is much appreciated.

I have read one report of losing sound on the MBP doing this. Some small hardware change might be the reason for that.

Note that you don't need to use a third party app like SD. Disk Utility can do the same thing. The restore option is your friend.

Thank you for the quick responses. Sounds like it should be no problem! Much appreciated.
