My late 2008 MBP is finally at capacity. I've been browsing the forums and think I have a pretty good handle on how to replace the internal HD.

Before I go and order anything, I wanted to run everything by this board.

I've pretty much decided to go 1 TB, as I want to have plenty of room to store all of my digital media.

The 2 options are: Western Digital, or Samsung.

I'm leaning towards the Samsung as the reviews seem to be consistently better. What do you guys think?

I'd also like to purchase an external HD to use as a backup for Time Machine. Any recs?

Other than Hard Drive and External Enclosure, is there anything else I need to purchase?

Thanks

I'm open to doing a smaller drive than 1 TB. This is going to be my boot drive so performance is crucial.

Any recs for 750 GB drives? Can my laptop fit more than 1 HD?
