I've been meaning to upgrade my hard drive, for my Macbook Pro 13"(latest model) to a larger capacity (I have the original 320gb).
Was doing some reading and found that you can also get faster speeds from certain hard drives.
My main concern is however - battery life and noise/vibration. My main goal is more capacity so I don't want to sacrifice battery life or anything else for a bit more speed.

I've been looking at these two here -

I would get the scorpio black if it didn't decrease battery life (noticeably) or create more noise/ vibration. But there are many conflicting reviews out there as well as for varying laptops.

And would these operate cooler/hotter or about the same temp ranges?

I use a scorpio black in my late 2009 13" MBP and it didn't make any difference in battery for me. I also haven't noticed any heat issues.

Anyone else have any experience with the scorpio black drive?

And would the scorpio blue drive be faster than my current one or would it be pretty much the same except from capacity?
