Hi there :) I have a 1.83Ghz MacBook and would like to upgrade the memory from 60Gb to 80 or more. Is ths possible and what would it involve?
Also, what would it involve if I was to upgrade from 1.83Ghz to a 2Ghz

thanks heaps if you can help me, i love my mac:apple: , but i'm a little clueless about the technology behind it.

You are talking about the hard drive not memory. You will need to get this right when you go to the shop! Upgrading the hard drive is reasonably easy. There are numerous guides to tell you exactly how including the official Apple one.

You cannot upgrade the CPU on a MacBook at all.

 thanks heaps. thats great.
just shows how little I know about computers.
kind of a bummer about the CPU tho, my bf was saying it was a shame it was so low/little whatever the term would be, but i think its fine for my needs.

I use a 1.83 MacBook Pro. Your processor is not slow. Go compare that to a PC laptop, a lot of them still use core duo. Core duo is still a a fast processor so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If you went from .83 to 2 ghz you would notice no difference in my opinion.
