Upgrading iMac sept. 2007 to SL & iLife '11

Are there any special considerations or tips that I should know about when upgrading my grandfather's mid/late 2007 iMac to the latest software? Other than install SL first and iLife 2nd?

Take it up to 6GB and it will perform much better. OWC sells correct kits, here is the URL to get you there:
