I currently have an imac running the latest version of Leopard. It has a 2 GHz Intel core duo and 3 gigs of ram. I want to upgrade to snow leopard so i can run ilife '11. Should I wait til lion comes out? Can i upgrade from leopard to lion or do i need snow leopard first? Any advice would he helpful.. Thanks!

If you say that 30€ is it worth for you to run iLife 11 buy snow leopard and upgrade your mac. Your conf are strong enough to run snow leopard an ilife 11.
If you want to save 30€ wait for Lion and upgrade later.
Afaik you can directly upgrade from leopard to lion and skip snow leopard.

yes. i am 99% sure that you can upgrade to lion from leopard. but, snow leopard is only a $30 upgrade. and if you want ilife '11, then you really have no choice, don't you?

Are there so many new feature in ilife 11?
It is worth to buy snow leopard only to use ilife 11?
Doesn't ilife 09 stuff your needs?

@ mcsx... I don't even have iLife '09.. I think mine is older. I really want the new version of iMovie.. but i think i'll wait til lion comes out.. thanks for the advice everyone!

I'm thinking you'd be better off doing the Snow Leopard upgrade for $29 and waiting for apples new software store to open and just purchase imovie 11 for a lot less than $49 if that's all you want from the suite.
