Hi all,

Just wanted to know if:

1) Upgrading the internal hard-disk of a macbook pro will void the Apple care.

2) If YES, then is there a way NOT to void the warranty?

Thanks in advance guys/gals

PS (also additional info on WHICH HD to get would be appreciated too)

i.e. will a 7200RPM 200G Harddisk sap the battery faster than a 5400rpm?

Yes, it will void your AppleCare.

You could probably get a certified Apple Service Center to upgrade it for you, if you ask nicely or know someone.

And a 7200RPM drive will drain the battery faster, compared to a 5400RPM drive.

Hi thank you for your reply, I guess Ill need to check my local apple store out...I remember though when i bought it, the apple store told me they cant upgrade it for me...oh well.

Thanks!
