Hello people,

So i have an old iPhone 3gs which runs on iOS 4.0.1 Modem Firmware: 05.13.04. I jailbroked it many years ago using jailbreakme.com with a simple slide. Since then its a long time and nowadays as the apps are running on newer iOS version i am not able to run many popular apps on the phone. Hence i decided to update the iOS and then again jailbreak it.

If any one let me the entire process about updating the iOS and then jailbreaking it will be great. Just simple links will also work. I am somewhat weak in SHSH, blobs, hashes knowledge related to iOS.

Thanks a lot in advance.
Help will be appreciated.

Thank you

A 3G can only go to 4.2.1
You will find most current (and popular) apps will still not run on 4.2.1

If you want to stay current, you need to get a new iDevice.
A 3GS will run current firmware (iOS6)

3gs

Sorry to write 3G in last post

I have 3GS

Can anyone tell the procedure
