Upgrading iPhone 6s to 11 Tips?

Tomorrow I am upgrading my son's iPhone 6s to an iPhone 11.

I just upgraded his phone to iOS 13.3 and backed up the phone.

He has a series 1 Apple Watch, should I unpair it or will everything go smooth in bringing everything over?

Any tips in moving from the 6s to the 11?

I made the switch from 6s to Xs recently, with iOS phone transfer feature when you hold both devices close to each other, the transition was very smooth. All the apps and settings transferred as I expected. Some apps needed to be set again, but for the most part was a good experience.

Although I did have to unpair my watch from the old phone and re-pair to the new phone.
