upgrading iphoto?

so i just did a clean install to mavericks, from mountain lion (which i purchased).

so i was loading up my ilife'11 cd, to install iPhone...which worked fine.

but it says iPhoto is old and needs to be updated in order to run. i goto the app store and its 14.99. is there another way to upgrade it, seeing that i paid for mountain lion (where the last upgrade before mavericks was)?

I have this problem as well. Opening iPhoto gives a dialogue that says I should upgrade to 9.5.

But when I open the App Store and update tab, I have nothing there.

Do a search in the Mac App Store and you will find iPhoto.
