Just picked up an iMac in June. I want to upgrade the RAM and I'm fully aware of how to do so, however my questions:
-When I upgrade the RAM, does that in turn lend me memory to the "VRAM"?
-Followup; If not, can i upgrade the "VRAM"

If you're using the 21.5" iMac, upgrading RAM will void the warranty, and it's really hard to upgrade it too.

It will not lend memory to the VRAM. The GPU has its own discrete GDDR5 VRAM.

No, you cannot upgrade the GPU.

Technically if you have an iMac with integrated graphics, upgrading the RAM will automatically increase the amount of shared video memory, however the only current model with integrated graphics is the base 21.5" model which has soldered memory.
