I want to upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard but I don't want to reload my full system. I bought a DVD from Amazon.com but before I open it I want to make sure I don't have to reload my full system.

All I know about the DVD is that it says "Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard".

Does anyone know if that will let me simply upgrade without needing to delete everything and reload the entire system?

It will you allow to "just" upgrade your system, without "reloading" your system, meaning you don't need to re-install anything, unless it is not compatible with Snow Leopard and a Snow Compatible version has been released.

I upgraded from 10.5.8 to 10.6.0 with no major issues... Just the "Clean Up Icons" was acting weird, but after the combo update, everything seems fine...

I see their selling packages with 10.6.3. Should I go with that or could 10.6 be safer route?

Also I have 3 Macs (MBP, iMac, Mac Pro). So I need to buy the family pack right?
